Lab's REU undergrad students present research and receive awards

Two Walke lab undergraduate NSF-REU students, Jonah Frago and Hanna McCoury, presented their research at the Murdock College Science Research Conference In Portland, Oregon in Nov. 2022. Jonah also presented at the Northwest Scientific Association/Pacific Division of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, AAAS, joint meeting in Bellingham, WA in Mar 2023.

Also, congrats to Jonah, who was awarded the Clawson-Young Environmental Award for his project on developing honey bee bacterial strains with the capability to withstand pesticide exposure. Jonah is now pursuing an MS degree in Biology at EWU.
